FAQ

How long do I need to keep waivers?

You need to hold onto waivers for 3 years.

Do I need to sell memberships?

Yes, promoters are required to either sell directly or arrange to have one day licenses and annual memberships sold at their event(s).

What are additional insureds?

An additional insureds are the people or entities who also need to be covered by insurance. Property owners, government agencies and sponsors often request coverage.

What are the insurance limits?

Our limits are $1 million each occurrence with a $2 million aggregate limit. We also carry a $1 million/$1 million umbrella policy so our limits are effectively $2 million/$3 million. Waiver of subrogation available for $100 per certificate. Primary and non-contributory coverage available for $100. These fees are in addition to the regular insurance surcharges.

Does OBRA cover medical?

No. To do so would cause insurance rates for all promoters to increase dramatically

Am I allowed to refuse entry to anyone?

Yes.  As the event promoter, you are allowed to deny entry to racers.  However, be aware that OBRA does have a non-discrimination policy.

I only need a couple pieces of equipment. Can I get a reduced rate?

No. We do not rent out equipment piece-meal unless there are extenuating circumstances.

Do you rent equipment to non-OBRA events?

Yes we do. You will be required to sign an agreement, provide a deposit, pay a check in and check out fee, and pay a per participant fee of $1.50 per participant per day.
